English gentry singer Mark, guitarist Jules and drummer Dean jammed together in the UK before moving to Australia to concentrate on music-making and escape the distractions of London. After a challenging period of finding their musical brothers, Australian born guitarist Matt joined in June 2009 and bassist Glen completed the lineup in October 2009.
Pursuing a frenetic gigging schedule, and growing popularity on the vibrant Perth/Fremantle music scene, Silent Republic played a number of prominent live music venues and various EP launches, later using this experience to independently record and produce their debut EP 'We Seek The Light'.
Having exploded onto London's live scene in early-mid 2011, Silent Republic are already securing sought-after positions at some of the hottest venues in and around London - including Proud Camden, Vibe Bar, 93 Feet East and Dublin Castle. The band is also garnering a fearsome festival reputation, gracing stages across the United Kingdom with big plans for more festivals and an album release in 2012.
The band is hitting the studio in the next two months to record their debut UK singles. Watch this space for more news and details of the releases.

Inspired by modern complexities, urban themes and the human condition, the band draws rich inspiration from each of its five members from the two halves of the world.
